Weaving Togetherness, One Thread at a Time

This activity aims to create a space for meeting and exchange around living together, where participants literally and symbolically weave bonds of trust and respect among themselves, while collectively shaping a work representing unity in diversity. The activity will thus address vivre-ensemble and will celebrate diversity.
Through the collective creation of a quilt and a talking circle, participants will exchange ideas on what unites them despite their differences. They will gather together around a variety of fabrics used during the Petites-Mains workshops. In small groups, participants will assemble fabric pieces into a collective quilt. During the sewing portion of the event, a talking circle will invite each person to share, in their chosen language, what living together means to them.
