On the occasion of the Peace Days, join Centre Kapwa and The Refugee Centre for a poetry and songwriting workshop for peace. You will be led through a series of exercises such as left-brain and right-brain processes related to creativity, judgement free writing, and the importance of rest during the creative process.
Centre Kapwa is a non-profit organization serving and supporting the mental health and well-being of Montreal Filipinx youth and their families through art, movement, and conversations.
The Refugee Centre is a non-profit that provides a sustainable structure of integration for refugees and immigrants in Canada.
Facilitated by Fenny Cristo, an MC, community organizer, and tech professional; and Carousel Calvo, a Queer Filipinx writer and educator, get ready to go on artistic adventure as a way to promote peace and prevent violence. No poetry or song writing experience needed and lunch will be served.
