As October 2 marks the International Day for Non-Violence and the last of Peace Days, join us in a closing ceremony at the Biosphere Gardens. Get your hands dirty and help harvest and prepare some plant beds for their winter rest, and will be able to bring some of this beautiful nature home.
This event is brought to you by Growing A.R.C. and Centre Kapwa. Growing A.R.C. is a non-profit organization that aims to increase biodiversity and strengthen links with natural resources. Its goal is to be a playground to Activate, Reciprocate, & Cultivate relationships with all beings.
Centre Kapwa is a non-profit organization serving and supporting the mental health and well-being of Montreal Filipinx youth and their families through art, movement, and conversations.
Led by Nadia Bunyan and Coco Mariano, a community conversation on violence prevention with some light refreshments will be held at the Île-Sainte-Hélène Fort where the “How Do You Play with Earth” exhibit will still be up for your enjoyment.
