Parentpower Workshop: Safety for Our Kids without Scaring Them

Learning and practicing safety skills will help the young people in your life be safer, more confident, and less fearful about trying new things. Learn age appropriate safety skills for strangers, and for dealing with problems with others at school, at home, online, or everywhere they go. Adults will learn strategies to:
1- Teach safety rules and skills to kids in age-appropriate ways that are fun, rather than scary or confusing.
2- Make safety plans for everywhere they go out in public.
3- Build a common language about safety.
4- Protect and empower youth so they are prepared to face bullying and abuse with more confidence.

Participants will receive the Zoom link a few days before the workshop takes place. Adults are invited to participate with their camera on, away from their children’s ears so that each person can bring up their questions and concerns without hesitation.
