Art Is in Its Leaves

Art Is in Its Leaves is an annual celebration of art and nature at the La Montagnarde artist residence in Saint-Adolphe-d’Howard, a living space welcoming artists in creation throughout the year. Art Is in Its Leaves invites you to discover its Art-Nature Trail: Starting at the gates of the residence and consisting of 19 installations, this trail allows you to reclaim the vastness of the forest while getting to know local and international artists through their whimsical and hard-hitting works, set in the heart of nature. This moment of communion with the landscape allows us to reconnect with the beauty of our surroundings, both the natural environment and the works of art that reveal themselves along the way. This project is part of a desire for encounters and exchanges to reflect, through art, on the importance of the forest. We are creating a movement of discoverability and attachment to art in the wooded landscape, focused on values presented through gentle, guided activities linked to education in this specific environment. For its third edition on September 26 and 27, 2026, we are pleased to unveil 2 new works along the trail. Guided tours of the trail will be conducted in the presence of artists and will be punctuated this year by various dance, music, circus, and theatre performances, followed on Saturday by an evening of video in the forest and a discussion around the fire.
Schedule:
-Saturday, September 26: free entry between 1 PM and 6:30 PM, guided tours and performances at 2 PM and 4 PM, music aperitif from 5:30 PM to 8 PM, screening and bonfire at 8 PM.
-Sunday, September 27: free entry between 11 AM and 3 PM, guided tours and performances at 1 PM.
This is a unique opportunity to connect with inspiring artists in the enchanting setting of autumn colors, through an activity whereby art honours nature! Snacks and drinks are available for purchase on-site.
