Discover the message and home of a proponent of peace
This activity aims aims to raise awareness of the Baha'i Shrine of Montreal (a historic site built by architect Sutherland Maxwell), the message of peace of the man who made it his home in 1912, and how Baha'is work for a peaceful and inclusive society with people from all walks of life. Topics will include the historical links between the Shrine and the international peace movement, the teachings of the Bahá'í Faith about peace and inclusion, and the actions inspired by these teachings in Montreal and around the world.
Presentations on these themes will be followed by a tour of the Sanctuary, during which those who wish may take time to reflect. A question and answer period will follow in the adjacent reception centre.
This 1-hour program will be offered at 1pm, 2pm and 3pm.
