Inclusive Apple Picking
Apple picking, a seemingly simple activity, can actually be a powerful vehicle for social connection, inclusion, and peace. Indeed, picking apples with people with intellectual and/or physical disabilities or autism spectrum disorders helps break isolation, foster their autonomy and sense of belonging, and create opportunities for positive interpersonal encounters and shared learning, thus contributing to a more inclusive and harmonious future.
On the program:
– Tour of the farm,
– Tractor ride in the orchard,
– Apple picking,
– Journey through the corn maze,
– Poutine lunch at the food truck and musical performance.
This activity is also presented as part of Quebec Civic Sponsorship Day. Do not miss this opportunity to demonstrate that despite our differences, we can all have fun and collaborate together.
