Understanding the Far Right: Ideas and Movements
The purpose of this course is to provide information about the groups and ideas found on the far right and how they have evolved over time. The far right in North and South America, Europe, and Asia is a phenomenon whose origins can be traced back several decades.
We will begin by discussing the challenges involved in defining the far right, as well as the heterogeneity of the movements associated with it. The training will then examine whether it is possible to assert that the far right is on the rise in these regions, focusing on the potential normalization of these ideas and movements. The training concludes with a discussion on prevention strategies and available resources.
