Peace Days Closing Event

To mark the close of the 10th edition of Peace Days, we are organizing in partnership with the LGBTQ+ Community Center of Montreal, a half-day event on October 2nd related to our 2024 theme of “Working Together for an Inclusive Society”.

– PANEL entitled "COLLABORATION: FROM THEORY TO PRACTICE – 10 YEARS OF PEACE DAYS" – 9:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.
This panel aims to generate a better understanding of collaboration, including: the conditions for its success, the steps needed to implement it, how to solve any difficulties encountered, and the importance of collaboration for inclusion.

Panelists
* Roukayatou Abdoulaye, Liaison Officer, responsible for the immigration file, City of Sherbrooke,

* Dr. Anna Krol, Executive Director and Director, Diversity and Inclusion, Network for Peace and Social Harmony, and researcher affiliated with the Laboratoire de recherche en relations interculturelles de l'Université de Montréal (LABRRI),

* Claude Pinard, President and CEO of Centraide of Greater Montreal,

* Nadine St-Louis, Founder and Vice-President of Operations, Partnerships and Financing, Productions Feux sacrés.

Moderator:
The panel will be moderated by Dorothy Rhau, Founder and Executive Director of Audace au Féminin.

– PEACE BUILDER AWARDS – 11:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
These awards recognize outstanding contributions to inclusion and peace.

– LUNCH AND NETWORKING ACTIVITIES – 11:45 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Following lunch, networking activities will take place in order to encourage exchange and facilitate new encounters. These activities will be led by André Ho, coordinator of community services and projects at the Centre communautaire LGBTQ+ de Montréal, and his team.

Registration and fees:
Participation in the event is free for Peace Days partners and donors, and paid for others.

11:15 – 11:45: Awards ceremony and closing ceremony
11:45 – 14:00: Lunch and networking activities.
