Ayeeyo Podcast | Sexual violence and healing practices
As part of the 10th edition of Peace Days organized by the Peace Network for Social Harmony, Ayeeyo Podcast is proud to present episode #11 entitled, “Mouhamed, mon ex-partenaire, a violé mon corps et mon âme devant Dieu/Allah”. The episode was recorded thanks to a generous sponsorship from Archetype Studio.
For the first time on the Ayeeyo Podcast, alongside me, nènè myriam konaté (an undeniable professional/cultural force), guides an important conversation related to the various forms of gender-based violence that affect the lives and deaths of Survivors of various forms of violence – both dead and alive. As a Survivor of sexual violence and a highly qualified professional from the Arts and Culture, nènè accompanies me in this filmed exchange to deconstruct my specific experience as an African/Black/Muslim Survivor and sociologist.
This interview acts as a driving force to raise awareness of sexual/conjugal violence, in particular to counter the hepatitis B/HIV/AIDS contaminations that can/should be prevented, especially in favour of better physical and mental well-being for women.
Listen to the podcast via the Youtube link. Happy listening, with gentleness and delicacy, in order to dissolve destructive and/or passive feminism/cultural pride in the face of violence against women and/or girls, especially African/Black.
If you're a Survivor, I recommend you listen to this episode with someone.
