Women with Disabilities Beaten, Raped, Tortured...
On March 8, 2021, RAPLIQ launched a province-wide campaign and embarked on an unprecedented fight against domestic violence experienced by women with disabilities. According to Linda Gauthier, president of RAPLIQ, “To kick off the campaign, this powerful first video was released, whose objective was to raise awareness among both politicians and the general public about the two taboos of women with disabilities and the domestic violence they experience.”
Unfortunately, this violence is still prevalent today. Ensuring a fair and equitable future for women with disabilities requires a concerted effort to guarantee their rights to peace, security, and equal access to all aspects of life.
Please take a look at this campaign and contact RAPLIQ for further information.
