Learn About LGBTQIA2+ Homelessness

The Quebec LGBT Council’s LGBTQIA2S+ Homelessness Project aims to equip practitioners and organizations to better support people of diverse sexual orientations and genders who are experiencing homelessness, housing insecurity, or are at risk of becoming so. We began with the observation that there are no resources specifically for people of sexual and gender diversity who are experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity in Quebec. We therefore sought to determine:
1-What are the challenges facing the LGBTQIA2S+ homeless population?
2-What promising practices and projects exist in Canada?
3- How can we make existing resources and intervention practices more inclusive and safe?
