Video Clips from the “Let’s Talk About It. For Real” Campaign

Check out the video clips from the “Let’s Talk About It. For Real” campaign, an initiative of the Quebec Federation for Family Planning (FQPN). Through seven short, accessible video clips, the campaign answers frequently asked questions, debunks certain myths, and explains what young people should learn based on their age. In a climate where misinformation is widespread, it’s more important than ever to have access to reliable information when discussing sex education.
– Clip 1, “What Is Sex Education?”, helps viewers better understand what is taught in sex education classes at school.
– Clip 2, “Myths About Sex Education,” debunks some of the common misconceptions circulating about sex education in schools.
– Clip 3, “At My Age, We Learn the Basics (and It’s Essential).” Between the ages of 5 and 8, children learn to name their body parts, express their emotions, and understand what is private. These are essential foundations for growing up safely.
– Clip 4, “At My Age, We Talk About Respect and the Body”: Young people learn to recognize certain stereotypes, understand the changes their bodies are going through, and know who to turn to when they need help. This is a key part of developing respect.
– Clip 5: “At My Age, We Talk About Puberty and Consent.” Puberty is coming, emotions are evolving, and relationships are changing. This episode addresses these changes, consent, and relationships.
– Clip 6: “At My Age, We Learn to Set Boundaries.” Learning to recognize what’s right for us, to communicate, and to respect consent are key aspects of sex education. An essential tool for healthy relationships.
– Clip 7: “At My Age, We Talk About Relationships, Choices, and Respect.” This video discusses respect, consent, and autonomy.
