Tree of peace

The objectives of the activity are to create a collaborative art installation (specifically, in the form of a tree) that serves as a physical representation of youth perspectives on peace, thereby encouraging dialogue, creative expression and community-building among young participants (ages 12 to 22). Themes will include: communal harmony, personal definitions of peace, global citizenship, conflict resolution, self-expression, hope and resilience, collective action, diversity and inclusion.

Program:
– Introduction + explanation of project (15 minutes);
– Group discussion & brainstorming (25 minutes);
– Explanation of materials + demonstration (10 minutes);
– Individual leaf creation (45 minutes);
– Collective tree assembly (20 minutes);
– Conclusion + Reflections (5 minutes).
