At the crossroads of violence and security: migrant and racialized women with disabilities
This virtual event offers a unique opportunity to bring together players involved in the fight against violence against women, with a particular focus on migrant and racialized women with disabilities. Organized as part of the Peace Days, this event will highlight the dynamics underlying the multiple forms of violence these women face, while exploring avenues towards truly inclusive and safe solutions. The event will address the complex intersections between migration, racialization, disability and violence, which keep racialized and migrant women with disabilities at the crossroads of aid strategies often conceived without them and which exclude them.
The panellists will discuss the structural and social obstacles that make these women vulnerable, as well as the levers that can be mobilized to improve their safety and their pathway out of violence. The panel will be followed by an artistic performance by Alicia Pauld entitled “Ligne(s)”.
