Panel: Recognizing and Valuing the Diversity of Seniors

French / Open to all / Free

Description: We invite you to a presentation by two Montreal organizations working for the equality of older people from all backgrounds, such as LGBT communities, including non-binary, intersex, transsexual and sex workers. The Covid-19 pandemic has been a tremendous burden on such people, as a result of which ASTTEQ and CCLSCA have adapted their activities and services to fit their needs.

As children, friends, neighbours, colleagues or service providers (politically, administratively or in the community) to the elderly, we all benefit from knowing more about the current resources available in Montreal (and elsewhere), in order to better help older people from diverse backgrounds.

This panel, enriched by the sensitive testimonies of two speakers, will work to ensure that everyone can be part of the fight for equal treatment of queer, racialized and other marginalized elderly people. Your mere participation at the event will provide support to these collective actions.

A panel led by CReACC-DiversitéS. | Guests: ASTTEQ – Action Santé Travesti (e) s et Transsexuel (le) s du Québec and CCLSCA – Centre communautaire de loisirs Ste-Catherine d’Alexandrie
